House facilities
The cottage is a traditional timber home built in 1996 by a local Sollerö craftsman. The house has a raised deck which overlooks the lake.
As you enter the house you come into a bright and airy open plan kitchen living room. The wooden floor has a traditional Dala finish and the light from the rear deck windows floods into the main living space. The kitchen has a family dining table for 8, with plenty of workspace and is equipped with all the appliances and utensils you need. The cooker is electric and there is a fridge freezer, dishwasher & microwave.
There is an internet connection a “SMART” TV with HDMI and USB access. There is a beautiful log burning fireplace as well to add warmth to your evenings. We can arrange 1 basket of firewood for your arrival for 120 kr. More firewood can be purchased in the local COOP store. Do not burn new or fresh wood, thank you.
Off the main living room is the bathroom (shower) with washing machine, and a sauna. The WC has recently been upgraded to the highest environmental standards.
The cabin sleeps 6-8 people. The master bedroom looks out onto the lake and has rear deck access. There is a large double bed in the master bedroom and the other two bedrooms have contemporary designed bunks each with a 140cm lower bed that can sleep 2 with a smaller single bunk above. There is also a cot available and a hairdryer.
There is charcoal bar-be-que equipment for use by the cottage (but not on the wooden deck please) and another in a ‘picnic/bbq hut’ or ‘Slogbod’, close to the swimming platform and boule track. Flotation vests are stored in bike shed and must be worn when using the canoe.
